Is there a way to change the address used for push email notifications? I think that it uses the ASTRA account info but that email is using IMAP on my blackberry. I'd like to be able to use the BIS account (username@carrier.blackberry.net) instead so that the notices would be more timely.

Great idea.

I also have my Astra account linked to a mail account that is not "instant" like my @carrier.blackberry.net, gmail, yahoo, msn, etc. are. It would be nice to get instant push notifications sent to my BB so that I can start up Trillian.
That said, my push notifications don't seem to be working AT ALL. I have "Push Email Alerts When Closed" checked in Preferences but when I Close the session and send myself an IM (from another client on PC), I never get the notification.

Looks like I spoke too soon. While the first few test notifications did not arrive (or did not get sent), I just got notification emails for the last two tests.
That said, I'd still like to have the option to set my notification emails to go to another email account OTHER THAN my Astra accounts' email address -- just because some of my other email addresses are pushed to my BB, whereas the account I used to set up my Astra account is polled (approximately every 12 minutes) and then pushed.

If you have Trillian installed on your PC you can change your email address associated with your Astra account. That's the email address that push notifications get sent to.

Well, thanks DC, that will do perfectly for now. I tried to find the setting, unsuccessfully, on the WEB version of Trillian, but it did not occur to me to try on the desktop PC version. I thought I had to buy it, etc.
Hopefully in the future we might have options to have separate email accounts; one for registration, one for notification but again, this will do for now! :)

No problem Klotar... I never needed to do this, but I just noticed it a couple days ago when playing with T5's settings... so I assumed it was in 4.2's settings as well.

Thanks, I was aware of that but since there is no "record," meaning it doesn't get archived to a PC or on the web, of my blackberry.net address I prefer not to use it for anything that I might need later. So I'd rather not have emails about Trillian specials and so forth going there. Also, I use email aliases and my own domain (trillian@domain.com, netflix@domain.com) so I can apply filtering to emails in the future if one somehow gets out to a spammer. Also to make it harder to access all my accounts if someone gets my account info from one site.
I had set it up like that for a bit but went back since because I'd like my Astra account to stay at that address.
I know I'm being a bit OCD with the reasoning but I'm sure there are many instances where someone might want that same feature.

OK first, is the email address associated with your Astra account sent to your blackberry?
If it is, did you go to BB icon > Preferences > Notifications > [v] Push Email Alerts When Closed > Back Button > SAVE?
Also, BB icon > Preferences > When Exiting Trillian > SIGN OFF > select anything other than "Immediately"?
If the problem still persists please post back with your basic information so that the dev team or one of us users can help more.
Astra ID: e.g. deloreancowboy
Trillian Build: current is 1.0.0.221 (or the beta is 1.0.0.220)
BB device: e.g. Bold 9700
OS version: e.g. v5.0.0.669 (found in options > about)
Thanks!

I've followed all the steps mentioned above and I still can't push emails.
The problem started after I uinstalled Trillian beta (the one that you donwloaded directly from Trillian website) and installed the version from the BlackBerry App World.
Is there anything going on with the Trillian servers?
I've checked my Trillian settings over and over again, and everything is set up as it should.
Thank you

There have been times when the servers have been congested. (like when Android went into beta). I'm hoping that this is what has happened.

I've also never received a email notification on Trillian.
Maybe I've missed everything, but my email account is associated with Trillian as I have it on Windows as well, and it works perfectly.
I have the options ticked on phone too.
