Hey,
The first beta version is working great for me, but there is one annoying bug:
Every time I log into Trillian for Android and Trillian 5 Beta simultaneously, a second Facebook group is created. So all my contacts are shown twice - very annoying. You can delete the second group, but after logging one client out and in again - pling - there's a second group.
Thank you,
funrun

I have a different Facebook bug. If I connect to Facebook while the pc client is connected to it the Facebook contacts on my phone become orphaned until I disconnect the pc client. After that I can reconnect the pc client without any problems.
Not that i care, I have like 3 people on Facebook xD

Yeah this problem is well known and was supposed to be fixed in build 23, but it clearly is not! This problem needs to go away, its making me pull my hair out.

I've given up on the official Facebook plugin for Trillian since it skips users who have certain privacy settings turned off. I'm connecting instead using the XMPP/Jabber plugin. All the contacts show up and there is no on-device login page to contend with.

i can confirm that this doubling of facebook contacts also happened to me. I think it was because I renamed my facebook group to people after i downloaded trillian 5 beta for windows 7. I renamed the facebook group because it didnt make sense to have a facebook group when that group contained some metacontacts/ merged contacts. So I wanted to have one giant group. After I realized that it had made another Facebook group and doubled my contacts i deleted the new Facebook group, unmerged all my contacts and renamed the "people" group to facebook and put each contact back into its own social network group.
I think there are issues when it comes to merging contacts.

I had the same problem. Seems like I had an XMPP account for Facebook and a Facebook Account. I closed down the XMPP account and that resolved my dupe entries.
