Push Notifications After Extended Idle

Hi,

I'm having issues with push notifications when I don't touch my phone for a while (maybe 30 minutes or so) and the app is running in the background. After an extended idle time, no push notifications seem to come through. The only time I see new messages is when I turn the phone back on and go into the Trillian app and it does its update to the server.

Is this a setting? Bug? Does anyone else also have this problem?

There is definitely some issue related to push notifications. We are investigating this and will hopefully have it resolved soon. There are other threads talking about a possible work-around for the time being if you are interested in looking into that.

Does the issue you speak of involve getting no sounds or pop up notification windows when a push message comes through?

Last night there were two instances where I received messages, but the only notification I saw was a badge over the program's icon -- I didn't get a sound or a pop up window to indicate that a message had come through.

This is a little annoying as the main reason I purchased Trillian was because of this feature. I couldn't find another app where it worked reliably.

I'm getting that a lot recently too. Unfortunately I have my doubts that it is a Trillian issue and not an iOS issue in the way it handles Push Notifications. If it is a Trillian issue though it is definitely something that needs to be solved because there are a lot of times when I will unlock my phone to see a 5 badge on the icon but not once did I get a push notification popup or sound.
