Early today I was on my Motorola Droid, and I attempted to send a message to a friend via fb chat on trillian for android. After several minutes with no response I received this message from facebook.
<User I was messaging> is using an application to access chat. To send her a message, you must change your settings to enable friends using applications to see you when you're online. To change your settings, follow this link: <extremely long URL>
Now I found it peculiar because i had used the app to talk them previously (as in several days prior to this) In an attempt to do troubleshoot i logged onto the windows client and im'd them and found it went through normally and without issue.
I then had my brother log into facebook and we attempted this again. With him I found I could message him from both mediums (android and windows) however with the android client i found every time i typed a message i would see it on my device twice. (he would only see it once)
So yeah, may be nothing, cant explain any of it. very well could be my security settings on facebook (they are rather high) but just reporting like a good beta tester.
thoughts, concerns, statements, mentions of my questionable parentage?
