I know this isn't the brightest idea and dont give me "use notepad" comments please.. I think it would be a good idea for trillian to be able to have a real simple notes window where you can have categories and it will simply hold notes and store catched URLs.

The my stuff plugin already catches URLs, your skin just needs to support it.
The notes with categories idea sounds pritty usefull.

I can see how that would shake into a contact-list type setup ;) You would be able to access your notes through the contact list... groups (may) be able to be created... notes saved to .ini files in your profile.... yum!
I think I may have an idea for my first plugin (if someone doesn't get to it first, I'm still learning this C stuff ;))

Well, progress is looking good, I'm definitely writing this one now. :) Figured out how to get Trillian to accept the plugin (that was torture, first compiler I used wouldn't work with Trillian for some reason :() Progress is moving steadily now, I should have some screenshots in a couple of days at this pace. :)

Why not just integrate ms word, so we can write full on documents in it too? and an mp3 decoder, instead of having to use winamp. and an email client, instead of just a pop3 checker. and the ability to make it run other programs. and maybe a sort of a desktop to put things on. and then name it Trillian OS.

You can be the one to write that one then. ;) There are just some people that would like that convenience, nobody said that this would be a mandatory feature... :) That's what plugins are for! Take what you want, leave what you don't, it's all good :)

Oh, I know. But the point is that you're obscuring the fact that Trillian is chat software, and adding bloat to it. If it came like that by default, there'd be an uproar. ;-)

Hey,
LEave the guy alone... he's helping people like me out.. ever track shipments or write down simple notes on your comp??? The plug-ins were designed to let users modify trillian to suit their needs man... if you don't like it... then don't install the plug-in.
Oh yea besides this... I also request a TV plug-in, a laundry timer, and pizza delivery while you're at it. j/k!

I might be able to manage pizza delivery - Pizza Hut in my area seems to be accepting online orders now!

This plug-in is much needed! I always have post it notes around my pc with info I need, this would make those obsolete.

I'm interested in this one. How's it coming?
Or has it been incorporated into another one that I missed? :o

This would really rock, I used to use QuickNotes, but I got to lazy to load it, or have it auto started etc. Having a note system build into Trillian would totally ROCK! I really hope someone makes it.

Nice idea for a plugin. I'd love it if there was some way to make it 'sync' between the computers you have Trillian installed on, so I could get work notes at home, etc, but that might just be wishfull thinking, since there really isn't anywhere to store the info.

Sorry, just stumbled upon this thread. Trillian doesn't come with it. I don't understand, how does a plug-in cause Trillian to become bloated?
