I doubt that the script will be able to be modified to work, but a plugin could be designed that was compatible with this system. I know similiar functionality has been requested before.

The demo of UT2K3 doesn't have the IRC thing in it but I am hoping that the final version does. Otherwise it will be a lot harder to follow people into games.

This would help a lot if Trillian were able to do it (y).
