Hi, I just tried Trillian for the first time. Overall an awesome program but I figured I would bring up a few suggestions incase anyone reads this.

1) I found the darkling skin to be more user friendly than the default one (darkling has a normal toolbar on the console).

2) Combining connections with the contact list bar would even improve on the very efficiency of the design, IMO.

it would look like:
[+] Connections (6)
[+] ICQ Users Online (5/25)
[+] AIM Users Online (4/64)
[+] Favorites (25)
[+] URL Grabber (56)

3) Any sort of option to get a normal nicklist on IRC? The likelyness of not wanting to see whose opped or whose a normal person is very slim..

The things I thought were awesome:
1) Scrolling channel topics (nice touch)
2) Combined chat functionality obviously
3) the fact that I no longer had to put up with ICQs ugly chat windows http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/ubb/wink.gif
4) The very flexible and open ended design

Keep up the great work, this program looks like it has tons of potential! I wish microsoft products would remember positions as well as trillian windows http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/ubb/tongue.gif

hi skace,

1) that's what skins are for! http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/ubb/smile.gif

2) ultimately, the contact list will be attachable to the main interface should you choose to do so. this will come in the future once we rewrite the skinning language.

3) this is on our list.

glad you're enjoying trillian!

I'd actually like the reverse! http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/ubb/smile.gif Have connections control available from buddy window. That's basically all I use the main interface for. I've already added myself as a buddy in all four mediums so I know if all connections are working.

One other thing in regards to that... the other thing i use the main interface for is to see if I have new mail (hotmail). Is there a way you could link a sound event to that?

With these two things, I'd hardly ever need to open the main interface which would be nice.

we're working on a new release that will remove the need for the main window unless you enjoy it (as far as connection status goes).

further releases will allow an even more dynamic environment. mail alerts will get better as well.
