Does Trillian adapt to network conditions differently than AIM or GAIM? The college campus I live on has had a lot of problems with AIM but none with MSN or Yahoo! MSN Messenger reports that I am connecting directly to the .NET messenger service. I know that my connection settings for AIM and GAIM aren't any different than the ones I'm currently using for Trillian - specifically, oscar at x5190. I couldn't locate any specific tech specs on Trillian in about ten minutes of searching, although the FAQ does mention that Trillian uses different methods for video chat.
