So, let's see... I PAID for trillian Pro. I get it, install it, and it crashes. I uninstall-reinstall, that whole run around until it finally sticks. THEN I can't upload a picture, without the software crashing. How wonderful. So I send in a "Support ticket" that was answered, oh about a week later. Saying that they are going to "reimburse" me? Nice, so I go to sign into my account, and it is deleted. HAHAHA. So, I need someone to:
1.) Activate my account again with the Pro features
2.) Figure out what bugs are in the software so that pictures may be uploaded. Apparently the whole "uninstall and reinstall" doesnt work.
3.) Post a customer service PHONE number.. apparently understanding things via email is not one of your high skills.
K, Thanks.

When you are issued a refund, your Pro account is terminated and you're not entitled to any of the Pro benefits.

...and reviewing your ticket, I can tell you that the root of your problem is that you're running Win98.

Ok, well let's make this more, clear. I did not ask for my account to be terminated. Therefore, I would need it activated again. I would think that before an account is terminated, permission would be asked first. Why would you pay for a service, then ask for technical support on it, only to have the account closed? Doesn't make sense from a customer, or a company stand-point.

From what I can see, you sent in 3 support tickets. The first two were answered (by me) and you never replied with any additional information (it worked, it didn't work, it worked but now it's doing something else, I tried it and am confused)...

When you were told almost a week ago that you'd be receiving a refund (by a different rep), again, you never replied. If a refund was not acceptable, then all you had to do was reply to the message. :)

Now, since the refund has been issued, you'll need to reply to the ticket to have your account reinstated.

To reiterate, I would guess that the root of your problem is a 7 year old operating system. I would be highly doubtful that the problem can be fixed.

That's fine.. I am not worried about having the pro edition to it anymore. Explain the reason why I uninstalled and then downloaded the basic version and it still will not let me sign in when I made a new account completely?
Yet, still I don't understand why a phone number is not made available. Is there a reason why people can not do customer support over the phone?

Sign in to what? If you're using Trillian Basic, there is nothing to sign into. If you're talking about connecting to an IM (AIM/ICQ/Y/MSN) account, then you'll need to provide more informaiton.

It isn't feasible to offer phone support for a $25 application. For example, Microsoft charges $35 per request for simple issue phone support for software that costs significantly more than $25. Advanced issue support from Microsoft costs $245 per incident.

The existing ticket system works well when the customer communicates with the tech support person. Providing that all the information that is asked for, all the questions are answered, and all the steps are followed, it works a vast majority of the time.

I uninstalled Trillian completely. I was not able to sign in under my old account because it was deleted. I reinstalled Trillian as a basic software, and when I go to sign in, it still has my old username. When I added my new user name.. it said that the password does not match. So, I emailed the password, and it is the same one I was trying to enter. I cannot sign into trillian at all.

When you talk about "account" and "username" and "password", what are you referring to? Are you referring to your Trillian Pro account, username and password? Are you referring to your AIM/ICQ/MSN/Y!M account, username, and password?

I am refering to the new account that I made with the user name poprocksncoke. I made it today, how else am I supposed to sign into trillian messenger from the start-up screen without using a username and password?

There is no Trillian medium/messenger. Trillian only connects to AIM, ICQ, IRC, MSN, and Yahoo. From what I have read, your Trillian Pro account (which you would log into from the site) is non existant.

You only get that screen if you choose to install Trillian Pro. Since you no longer own Trillian Pro (your money was refunded), you need to choose "Trillian Basic" when given the option.

there is a startup box which has user name and password things in it when trillian opens. whether this is what poprocksncoke is on about i don't know, which is why i'm attaching an image of what appears on my screen when i load trillian... hopefully it will help you to understand the problem, but it might not...

That's for a local profile and isn't there by default (only if you chose to create a profile). A password isn't required and doesn't have one unless you've entered one.
