OK peeps.... here's my first attempt at reskinning... so be gentle ;-)

The appearance is based upon TGT Soft's StyleXP CoughDrop in Licorice color for XP.

The layout, XML and icons were graciously ripped from MarcDaniel's TrillianXP. I liked the clean layout... and how readable it was. Hopefully I was able to keep that aspect alive.

WHAT IS NOT DONE: I have not converted the sounds, the file transfer dialogs or the emoticons. I will probably do some file renaming too. But otherwise, it is graphically complete. Let me know what you think.

ps... you know what opinions are like, so don't be offended if I ignore yours %-)

Can you get rid of the tabs at the bottom. That's really the only thing that keeps me from using this skin.

i totally agree i like the skin but i never use the ones that have the tab at the bottom

Well, I might do a future iteration that uses a slide-out drawer, but I personally prefer the tabs over the drawer. The drawer just takes up too much space on the desktop. BUT.. I will keep it in mind as a second release.

Any chance you could change the icons to reflect the chat medium instead of those ugly pawn looking things?

Thanks, and you do realize that the medium is already on the right side?

Making them two seperate icons has the advantage that the medium icon stays nice and 'pure' and doesn't get hidden behind the different status indicators.

I am planning on changing the icons away from the standard XP style.. but they will probably be more in line with the style like I have on the list tab and the dude for options.

=) You have no idea how much i was looking for a trillian skin that matched my coughdrop xp =) many many many kudos. I love this color, sort of like a twilight purple. most relaxing and enjoyable. Easily my favorite color. Many many many kudos. Just a minor complaint about the my stuff\list buttons, they jot out abit from the bottem of the app if you could somehow push them upward into the program box a little more i would be most appreiciative. I love it!:eek:

Those BIG tabs on the origonal XP skin where an anoying waste of space... and I have to side witht he others.. I don't see a point in having the medium icons apart from the indicator Icons.. I prefer the combined ones...

Other than that its looking good..

About the tabs...I generally like the concept of a tabbed interface, but many of the skins out there have these really huge tabs. Maybe if you made them smaller, y'know, like just one icon?

Of course I realized the mediums are on the right, but you bring a very good point, I had never thought of it that way with the status hiding the icon..
