Need Assistance from Someone Who Has Working WebCam

Help. I don't want to report this as a bug yet. It could just be me. I need help from someone who has gotten their webcam working.

Mine won't. Logitech Pro 5000. I have it turned on and it appears in the drop down list in preferences, but the "Camera Settings" button is greyed out. I had this problem with Trillian 3.1 as well. Never figured it out.

WebCam works with all other messengers - MSN, Yahoo, etc.

Please someone help me.

I have the same webcam but it's not a webcam issue.

If you look right below the Camera settings you will see a yellow triangle and a note that says:

That means the camera settings are only available when the camera is active.

I know. I saw that.....

I DO have the Camera active. But that button isn't available, and I don't see any webcam option in my MSN or Yahoo chat windows.

I've read the webcam guide elsewhere in these posts but not having any luck. I appreciate the help.

Active means when you are in a webcam session. You aren't so it's not available.

Does it work on Astra?

Before you go to the settings, open up an astra message window with yourself. Go to insert>video capture. Now open up the settings and the button should no longer be grayed out.

On a side note, my camera is really green.

Didn't work on 3.1 and it still doesn't work on Astra. This is the screenshot I have (in zipped file).

I got camera settings to appear if I used it with myself (as an Astra contact on my profile). I still can not initiate a video conversation with an MSN or Yahoo contact though.

video has been added for the astra medium only, not for MSN and Yahoo yet.
