I am an old-school type person. While WinXP is all fine and dandy, I was compelled to turn off all of the bubbly crap as soon as possible when I first got it. However it seems that everyone is jumping on the 'bubbly' bandwagon these days, however they should realize that there is a large portion of people out there who prefer simplicity/functional minimalism to stylistic frivolousy.

What I am requestion is that in maybe sometime in the future, (maybe 1.0 or such?) that there could be an official classic (win2k) style Trillian skin, and to let it be a built-in optional skin in Trillian. (Meaning, if you don't like the default skin, you can set it to the built-in alternative.)

Yet when I mean minimalism.. I DO NOT mean minimal to the point of like black and white simple lines and boxes. I mean minimal such as WinXP's slicker looking verison of Windows, even if it is set to classic. All of the minor changes to just make it look a little better. That's what I mean.

I hope people understand that there is a population of us out there that prefer this style... and maybe someday a default-alternative could be made, to make Trillian even groovier!

that is called 'utilitarian' or 'simplicity'. :)

'Minimalism' is definitely nothing about function. People misunderstand this word too much. The Minimalists are angry. (LMAO)

btw, dont care about what i said on the top. (LOL)

I think i will definitely make a simple and functional skin, yet very "Trillian-ish"... :)

Maybe the skin I'm working on would fit the bill. It's tentatively called SimpSkin (for "simple skin"). I started a thread about it; it's titled "My New Skin: SimpSkin". Look at the screenshots and tell me what you think.

I've renamed my skin "Trill2K." Thanks for the name!
