OK.. maybe I'm insane - but I've verified this with at least one other person with the same hardware.

Firewall is a Netgear FVS124G running latest firmware.

Turning on Trillian Astra (tested as of build 112 - will test 113 later tonight) is fine, turning on one service at a time works fine - until enabling MSN.. then the firewall goes completely unresponsive and has to be rebooted. This has been going on for a week or two for myself and one other person - we finally narrowed it down to Trillian, and further to just the MSN connection.

Any idea what could be happening in the initial connection to MSN that could freak out a firewall and cause it to just die?

Did you do anything odd with your firewall to block Internet Explorer at all?

Sorry....
i mean have...
For my Vista and Windows 2008 Server PC´s it works to check the Box "Force this connection to tunnel trought the HTTP gateway"
At my Windows 7 RC PC my FVS124G dont crash when i check the Box and start Trillian Astra Build 113, but MSN disconnect and connect always in time intervals of 1 minutes.
Sorry for my bad English :)

Update.. it seems that the native MSN client also crashes the router.. but my other tester also managed to crash the router with Trillian on, but MSN disabled.

If native MSN crashes it then hopefully the router manufacturer will release a patch to the firmware.
