Actually the base that zillions of other users have modified was designed by MD. ModXP was just a modified version of Silver XP which was a modified version of MD's Odigo III. Please by all means go ahead and mod my skin, but learn from my mistakes and check with Kid (on some of the great icons that are in there, she's sensitive about her work) and TheMHC (on his Silver XP frame). Of course my work, the light blue/green status icons, some of the fonts, and the other icons are open to anyone.
By the way please get the updated version from deskmod first. It fixes any of the offsets in the 'buddyicons' file that caused the left status icons to shift when clicked on. It also has plenty of updates not in the posted version on the trillian site. Thanks!

Hey, I just edited out some of the redundancy in ModXP. Now the skin zip file is 40KB less and would be worth checking out for your mod! I'm going to try get it down to 500KB total over the next couple of days

Hey can you tell me what all you edited out if possible since the skin was first posted here because I of course already started work on it before I asked permission .;)
If you want I can Send you what I have so far
Oh is the current lighter version on devient ?

Well, the lighter version is approximately 100KB smaller than the version you were using! The new version has properly compressed sound files.
I also removed the "server-icons-flat.bmp" file because it was the same as the "server-icons-push.bmp". Next I changed the 'source name' links within the "server.status.trillian" file to read 'server-icon-push' in place of any 'server-icon-flat' as well as editing out the 'server-icon-flat' line within the "files.trillian" file.
On top of this I edited out the MD emoticon pack, by request, and edited the MD emoticons out of the "emoticons.bmp" file as well. I then continued to relink the icons within "emoticons.prefs.trillian" file because their postioning moved after I deleted some of the intersperced icons.
The new version is ModXP v2.3 and is a svelt 544KB. Give it a shot! It's at trillian and I've updated it now!
