Not sure if this is a bug, but why there's no service icon for Facebook???

It has been that way since shortly after Facebook was added. I believe the image just has not been made yet if I recall correctly. It is in bugzilla though.

It looks like Avion Pro with the contact list transparency cranked up a bit.

correct! Avion Pro and a contact list, where all contacts are in one container (group).
