Yeah.. That first year I posted so little on the boards (only around 150 posts) so I figured they could handle one thread. So I keep everything here when I'm feeling narcissistic so that people who've been around can just ignore the thread

(Interestingly enough, my post counts have approximately doubled each year -- if you shift the first year's posts to 250.. I'm a real spammer now.)

Surprisingly, it seems people haven't unsubscribed from it... They like me.. they really like me!

If course I also go back and edit my first post about once a year to keep track of important things that happened through the year.

Tourbi:
Yeah, glad you liked it.

Oh man, did I just stepped in something?

However, if you so desire, you should be able to watch it via the webcast.

The details
College: Liberal Arts & Sciences
Location: UIC Pavilion
Time: Sunday, 5/8 9:00 am (CDT)
Webcast link: Look for the LAS college here on Sunday

Oh yeah.. this weekend is also marks my 4th year registered on the forums here.

Well, graduation went relatively well. Noone tripped or anything. I actually found a use for the silly masters sleeves (I had my name card in one sleeve and my camera in the other.)

At one point the name reader was like 20 names behind and I was afraid that when they got to physics, I'd be back in my seat before my name was read. Fortunately, the department marshalls finally got on the ball and actually waited for the previous department's names to be finished before going through. I was the only Master in Physics at the ceremony, so I was all by myself. (It was a huge ceremony... just the liberal arts & sciences college graduates filled the entire pavillion floor -- think college basketball stadium. But only 9 of us were Physics -- 3 PhDs, 1 Master, 5 Bachelors. Of course, that's huge compared to my BS ceremony, in which I was the ONLY physics graduate on the last year before they closed down the physics department at my old school..)

No, that feeling of sickness is from something that was slipped into your Guinness a few months back... We'll see how you feel in 3 weeks

Oh wait... I wasn't supposed to tell you about that.

Well, Tappy Birthday, Tom!

You're thinking 20 in decimal. I said 20 in hexidecimal (base-16).

Since some people apparently are having a hard time with hex, it's 40 in octal.

Thanks.. it was very relaxing. Had a great morning.

(And I've been told some people don't know octal base. For those people, it's 26 in base-13. We all know base-13 right? After all, we all know 6*9=42 in base-13.)

I already feel old compared to you

Alas, this party had to be aborted early due to certain events in the 'real' world that dragged me chloroformed to Cerberus's lair, covered in raw steaks, and with my shoelaces tied together. (i.e. long story)
