this has been happening forever to me...most of my buddies i cannot access their logs...anytime i click on history it pops up with this message:

The document ... is in use by another application and cannot be accessed.

this happens to like 75-80% of my buddies.

any ideas why this happens?

What program are you using to view logs? If you have the chat window open with a buddy, then Trillian generally write-locks the file (or whatever the official term is) so many programs won't be able to open it. I'd suggest using Notepad for log viewing.
