Is there a way to disable the hotmail notification from MSN??
somebody allready sugested "Automaticly login to hotmail....." but that didn't work.
I don't use the notification because my mailprogram checks my mail (from about 5 accounts at a time).

You can disable the sound alert in Preferences -> General -> Events -> Advanced

the sounds is not really the problem, the main problem is that the icon of MSN changes into an enveloppe (or something like that). wich results in me not seeying my current status of MSN. and I'm not planning on changing multiple skins (I tend to change those every now and then)

Try going into prefs > chatting services > MSN > misc. Uncheck the hotmail options. Haven't tried it myself, I really like the notification, but try it and see if this solves the problem.

Oops, sorry! I see from your first post that you already tried that... You might try some editing in one or two of the .ini files related to your profile. I could research this a little more and get even more specific, but I think it's more important to you than to me.

If you like, however, I'll play with it and see what I can come up with. Perhaps the Moderator knows the specific changes that would work... ?

You can't disable the mail notification yet. It's been submitted as a feature request many times...
