We know you're out there... People who don't like Bugzilla, won't use Bugzilla, or are too busy to wrestle with Bugzilla. The problem is that if you don't submit your bugs to the system, there is no guarantee that your bugs will be fixed.
Our goal is to make Trillian Astra as rock-solid and bug free as humanly possible. If we don't get a chance to fix all of the bugs that you're finding, then we won't meet our goals.
So... Here we are. We've done this in the past and it works quite nicely. When you find a bug, start a new thread here (please search before starting a new thread, though). The format for the title should be as follows:
[FOR SUBMISSION] (then a brief description of your bug)
Someone can then submit the bug to Bugzilla and post the URL and the bug number. A moderator will then remove the
[FOR SUBMISSION] part and replace it with the bug number. Simple. Two posts per bug. These aren't discussion threads.
The body of your post will contain your operating system, the Astra build number. The steps you took to find the bug (and reproduce the bug). Any attachments that might be helpful (screencaps, DMP files, anything at all).
Once the moderator posts the number, the thread will be locked and and attachments will be stripped.
We appreciate your cooperation and hope this makes things much easier. Remember, our goal is a bullet-proof application. We need your help and it's why we've opened the testing to the public.
Thanks for your help!
